Our Dog-Friendly Hotels

At Highland Coast Hotels, we understand that you want to bring every member of your family with you when you enjoy a Highland escape at one of our hotels, and this includes bringing your furry friend with you! That is why we are a collection of dog-friendly hotels. Dogs are very welcome at our hotels and there are plenty of dog-friendly activities to enjoy.

Let us know in advance if you’re planning to bring your dog along for your stay and we can provide dog baskets full of treats, so they can relax as much as you!

Our Dog Policy

Dogs are more than welcome in most of our rooms and also in the lounge and bar areas providing that they are not too busy and that they are supervised at all times.

Some exceptions do apply so please make sure to check the hotel website for more specific details on individual dog policies.

We ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and beds and are given a good clean before returning to the room after a day of exploring the Highlands. Please put your ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on your door or let reception know if dogs are left unattended in your room at any time. For any fouling on hotel grounds and surrounding areas please pick up after your four legged friend. Dog poo bags are available on request at reception.

Local Community Dog Policy

While we are dog friendly hotels, it is important to remember the local community that surrounds us. We would ask that you act responsibly and respectfully around the local area on your visit. We are delighted that we have farm animals and other wildlife as neighbours that can often roam free around our hotels, so it is important to be careful when walking your dogs. The Scottish Outdoor Access Code offers more guidance and information on enjoying the outdoors with your dogs.

Things to See and Do with you dog

The Highlands are packed full of activities for your furry friends to enjoy, such as long walks across the beaches, refreshing dips in the sea or even paddle boarding! Any dog is bound to love exploring the vast and stunning landscape surrounding our hotels. Plus, if your dog gets a bit untidy with all the outdoor fun, there are nearby dog groomers in some of our locations.

For those who aren’t dog lovers or may have allergies, don’t worry! You can contact us in advance to let us know and we are more than happy to book you into a dog free bedroom or seat you away from any dogs in our restaurants. Additionally, for anyone with allergies, we make sure that any areas where dogs have been are given extra attention and cleaning.
