Our Restaurants in the Scottish Highlands

Please call our Central Reservations Team, who can help tailor your plans on 01408 623800.

All of the hotels in our Highland Coast Hotels Collection have amazing restaurants and bars, serving up the very best in traditional Scottish food and drink, using local produce and suppliers wherever possible.

Thanks to the stunning and rural locations of our hotels, we have access to amazing local suppliers such as fishermen and farmers, who supply fresh seasonal seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables direct to our kitchens. Aside from food, our restaurants and bars also stock a range of local beers, lagers, single malts, and artisan gins. This means our Highlands restaurants are not only supporting the local community, but also focusing on responsible and sustainable sourcing using the environment that surrounds us.

Our hotels serve up amazing Scottish food and drink from passionate and talented chefs, each in their unique and individual restaurants and bars. We cater for all with a great offering of vegetarian and vegan options, plus all our bars and lounges are dog friendly!

At Kylesku Hotel’s waterside restaurant in the Highlands, sample famous seafood such as their seafood platter, langoustines and mussels, which are fresh off the boat. As you dine, look out onto Loch Glendhu, only mere metres from where their seafood is sourced from.

The restaurant at Newton Lodge offers up a true taste of the Highlands with seasonal and sustainable ingredients. The Highland restaurant even features a deck and outside area where guests can enjoy a drink or dram under the stars.

For an expertly crafted cocktail or delightful afternoon tea, take a visit to the Megan Boyd Bar or The Curing Yard Restaurant at the Royal Marine Hotel. Inspired by local heroes and the history of fishing in the area, these Highlands restaurants serve up Scottish food and drink with interesting local influences. Or for the golfers, there’s the Braid Lounge, named after the renowned professional golfer and course architect, James Braid.

At the Royal Golf Hotel, relax in the simple yet modern Crenshaw’s Brasserie, with panoramic views over the golf course and the beach. Enjoy locally sourced dishes inspired by the eclectic nature of traditional Scottish food. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a great round of golf!

At the Plockton Inn, take advantage of the freshest seafood sourced sustainably from local suppliers with great dishes such as fresh oysters and traditional Cullen Skink. Savour an authentic Highland experience in their bar that even attracts many locals!

With produce straight from their natural Scottish larder, Varrich Restaurant at the Tongue Hotel serves up fresh dishes all cooked in-house by their talented chefs. You can even enjoy your meal with stunning views over the Kyle. After dinner, why not enjoy a drink in the lounge and bar area and check out the visitor books that date back to 1932!
