At Highland Coast Hotels, we value the local community that live and work in the locations around our beautiful hotels.

The Highland community is at the centre of every decision we make and helping to contribute to the local economy and provide support for local initiatives allows us to show our appreciation and give back to these communities while promoting the values that we hold as a company.

There are many ways we aim to give our local communities support, whether it’s through local investment and partnerships, providing local employment opportunities, arranging local projects, feedback groups and events or even offering a local’s discount.

Community Engagement

It is important that in all of our hotels, we have a clear focus on working closely with the local community, such as setting up Community Liaison Groups and hosting events where locals can come to give us their feedback and input, to make our hotels a better place for all.

We also have our Highland Coast Community Card, which gives back to residents through offering discounts in our bars, restaurants and for overnight stays in any of our hotels.

If you are part of one of the Highland Coast Hotels local communities you can find out more and apply today!

Local Investment and Partnerships

We take pride in the fact that within our collection of hotels, our restaurants and bars partner with local community suppliers to bring seasonal vegetables, fresh seafood, local meats and cheeses and craft whiskies and gins to give our guests a true taste of the Highlands.

Additionally, we have partnerships with local experience providers to help support business in the local areas, nurture and expand existing businesses or even create exciting opportunities for the creation of potential new businesses, in order to boost tourism to the area.

Employment Opportunities

Another way we show our support to the local community is through providing employment opportunities to residents in the surrounding areas. We’re delighted that Highland Coast Hotels has accredited status as a real Scottish Living Wage Employer, which means that all employees are treated and paid fairly. We also offer a range of amazing employee benefits, including training development programmes to upskill workers in remote areas.
